SELF-ESTEEM
Sometimes it’s necessary to makes changes to your habits, routines, and behaviors in order to improve the quality of your life, but other times all that you really need to change is your thinking. There are many different ways for the thoughts and beliefs that you have about yourself to become distorted.
Maybe your parents or other caregivers sent you hurtful and negative messages about yourself as you were growing up. Maybe you have or are currently experiencing bullying, or have found yourself in a verbally and emotionally abusive relationship with a friend or romantic partner. Whatever the reasons, these distorted thoughts start to negatively affect the way you see and feel about yourself.
One of my greatest joys in this profession is to help my clients shine a light on these dark and often hurtful thoughts and beliefs that they have about themselves so that they can start to see themselves for who they truly are and what they are truly capable of.
